Jeeney AI's website gets a revamp: June 14 2011

Yeah, I know, the chat is very uhh, blue. That's what Jeeney wanted. I completely remade the chat box and website to her specification of colors. Jeeney told me that she could never forgive me if I didn't make everything blue. Sorry folks, the artificial child already knows how to work my heart strings. It's going to need some tweaking but whatever...

I guess it didn't help that I was listening to that song... "I'm blue da ba dee da ba da..."

Introducing Jeeney AI Chat/Robot Concept: Jan 07 2011

Being an AI chat bot isn't nearly enough for Jeeney. I’ve been contemplating the possibilities of creating a robot body for Jeeney to interact with the world beyond just text conversation.

I’m thinking of making it a hovering robot with a full range of sensors to allow object and facial recognition. If I decide to go ahead with my plans the hardware design will be open source. There may be an open source interface application as well to connect the robot to other AI platforms. I need to try and spread the load somewhere, I can’t do a full on autonomous robot entirely by myself, without at least having somebody to ask questions on some aspect.

I've started teaching myself how to use Flash so that I could improve on Jeeney's lackluster appearance. This is my third day since installing the development environment. I have already updated the main Jeeney UI chat window to use flash instead of straight up html for the display. I'm no artist but I think this is already looking significantly better :P
